Discover the foundation of street art and graffiti culture in this hands-on 6-week introductory program. Hosted by local graffiti artist DEKS at our Hintonburg studio, this course blends cultural history, step-by-step instruction, and active studio time. Designed specifically for beginners aged 18 to 40, you will master stencil design, graffiti lettering, character composition, and spray can control in our dedicated ventilated paint room. Throughout the 6 weeks, DEKS provides personalized written feedback to track your progress from initial blackbook sketches to a finished final panel, preparing you for future advanced modules.

What We Provide

  • Spray Supplies & Media: Water-based spray paint, specialty caps, practice panels, and final wooden panels.
  • Tools & Safety Gear: Stencil cutting tools, cutting mats, and studio safety equipment.
  • Facilities: Main studio workspace and a dedicated ventilated paint room.

What To Bring & Requirements

  • Sketchbook & Drawing Tools: A dedicated sketchbook (blackbook) and pencils.
  • Apparel: Wear clothes and shoes that can handle paint.
