What to Look For When Looking: The Photographic Eye

What to Look For When Looking: The Photographic Eye

$85.00

Merging the physical practice of observation with the psychology of seeing behind the lens. This course explores how our minds process visual information and how to translate personal visual triggers into constructed photographic frames. It is about quieting the mind to understand why a scene draws us in, and then training your photographic eye on how to compose, expose, and capture that feeling through your camera.

Skills Covered

  • Applying the psychology of seeing to identify personal visual triggers for photography.
  • Portraying emotions and abstract feelings through careful in-camera composition and patience.
  • Using focal lengths, camera angles, and perspective to dramatically change the meaning of a photograph.
