Your artwork looks excellent. Your laser cutter, sign shop and extremely judgmental vinyl plotter would still prefer a vector file.

We convert drawings, lettering, logos and other suitable artwork into clean, scalable vector files using Adobe Illustrator. Vector artwork can be enlarged, reduced, recoloured and sent to compatible production equipment without turning into a fuzzy pixel disaster.

SIMPLE VECTOR CONVERSION

For clean, high-contrast, single-colour artwork requiring minimal tracing and cleanup.

STANDARD VECTOR CONVERSION

For lettering, logos and illustrations requiring moderate cleanup, path correction or separation into a small number of colours.

DETAILED VECTOR CONVERSION

For intricate artwork, low-quality source images, multiple colours or files requiring substantial path cleanup and manual correction. Pricing starts at the listed amount.

MANUAL VECTOR REDRAW

Some artwork cannot be converted properly with automatic tracing. Logos, typography, blurry originals and designs requiring exact geometry may need to be carefully rebuilt by hand. Manual redraws are billed according to the time required.  

THE SERIOUS BIT

Vectorization does not automatically turn every photograph, painting or heavily shaded image into clean vector artwork. We will review your file before beginning and let you know if it requires a higher service level or manual redraw.

Pricing includes one digital proof and one round of minor corrections. Redesigns, new artwork, typography changes and additional revisions are billed separately.

Colours displayed on a screen may differ from printed, engraved or cut results. Customers are responsible for confirming spelling, dimensions and final artwork before approving the proof.

HOW IT WORKS

Purchase the appropriate service and upload your clearest available image. High-resolution scans, photographs and original digital files produce better results than screenshots or images rescued from social media.

If you only have original physical artwork, select Artwork Scanning as an add-on when placing your order, then bring the artwork to the UAC Print Lab at 50 Bayswater Avenue. We will scan it before preparing the vector file.

Artwork must fit on our scanning equipment and be safe to place flat against the scanner. Oversized, framed, fragile, heavily textured or unusually mounted artwork may require a custom quote.

We will review your artwork before beginning. If it requires a different vectorization level, oversized scanning or additional preparation, we will contact you with a quote before doing any additional work.
