Matt Francis is an Ottawa-based “do-er” of things. Music, writing, art, podcasting… the list goes on. A graduate of Algonquin College’s Radio-Broadcasting and Pre-Music Industry Arts programs, Matt has turned "misusing his diplomas" into an art form. He is also the former singer/guitarist/songwriter for the folk-rock band Weird With Cats and the creator of LUNCH zine. He also writes, edits, and sometimes makes things up for a “real job.”

For his latest venture, GO PUBLISH YOURSELF!!! Matt is teaming up with the Urban Art Collective and stepping into the classroom to teach you the history of zines and why they matter. He will also guide you through making your very own zine as the first line of defense against the “Authenticity Leech,” AKA the internet. See you there!
