Got an SVG and an unreasonable desire to turn it into a physical object? Excellent. Our Glowforge Pro is standing by with a 45-watt laser and absolutely no interest in subtlety.
We cut signs, shapes, ornaments, model pieces, display parts, stencils, tags, prototypes and all sorts of flat wooden things that began life as suspiciously ambitious computer files.
BRING YOUR OWN OR USE OURS
Supply your own laser-compatible material, or use our standard ⅛-inch basswood plywood.
Our house basswood is lightweight, durable and well suited to signs, models, decorations, painting projects and other excellent wooden nonsense. We’ve successfully cut this material around 100 times, so the laser and the plywood are already well acquainted.
SIZE MATTERS
Our standard sheets measure 12×18 inches.
The sheet fits inside the machine, but the usable standard cutting area is approximately 11×18 inches. Keep all artwork safely inside that area and leave a little room around the edges.
Need something longer? Our Glowforge Pro has a passthrough slot for eligible projects. Passthrough work requires a custom quote.

- 2 identical sheets
- 5 identical sheets
- 10 identical sheets
Repeat pricing applies when every sheet uses the same SVG, material and machine settings. Changes to the design, size or material create a new setup.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
Standard package pricing includes:
- Review of one print-ready SVG
- One small test cut when required
- Up to 15 minutes of cutting per sheet
- Basic removal of finished pieces
- UAC basswood when selected
Highly detailed files with thousands of tiny cuts can take considerably longer. Package pricing includes up to 15 minutes of cutting, scoring or engraving time per sheet. Additional machine time is charged at $1 per minute.
SEND US A PROPER SVG
Your file should:
- Be created at the intended finished size
- Use vector paths for all cut lines
- Have text converted to outlines
- Contain closed paths around cut shapes
- Avoid duplicate or overlapping lines
- Separate cutting, scoring and engraving elements by colour
- Fit within an approximately 11×18-inch work area
If your file needs repairs, resizing, cleanup or a complete intervention, design assistance is available at $45 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments.
CUSTOMER-SUPPLIED MATERIAL
We’ll cut appropriate customer-supplied materials after inspecting them.
Materials must be flat, clearly identified and safe for a CO₂ laser. We reserve the right to refuse anything coated, warped, mysterious, reflective, flammable in an exciting way or likely to release toxic fumes.
Never bring us PVC, vinyl, ABS, HDPE, pressure-treated wood or unidentified plastics. The laser has boundaries, and so do we.
Customer-supplied material is processed at the customer’s risk. Laser cutting can reveal hidden glue, voids, coatings and other surprises. We cannot guarantee replacement of customer-supplied material if a test or production cut fails.
CUTTING IS NOT ENGRAVING
Standard package pricing covers vector cutting. Engraving and large filled areas can take substantially longer and are quoted according to machine time.

THE SERIOUS BIT
A small test flame that moves with the laser can be normal. A fire with ambitions is not. Every job is monitored, and we reserve the right to stop work when a material behaves unsafely.
